 nships.  It can be a frustrating process working with people who are stuc
 k or even self-defeating in their relationships.\n\n 	Make your time worki

 killful in intervening around relationships\n 	Develop a clinical framewor
 k that integrates Attachment\, Differentiation (Developmental Stages) and 
 Neurobiological theory into a coherent and practical approach\n\nThis fiv
 e-day training will introduce you to the Developmental Model and give a
  whole new perspective on why people have relationship difficulties as wel
 l as a raft of tools to help them. Participants consistently rate our trai

 me and money will be well spent.\n\nThe training is compatible with all ot
 her models of relationship therapy and so is suitable for both experienced
  and novice therapists.  However\, you MUST have completed foundational t
 raining in couple therapy such as our Working with Couples workshop\, or
  have equivalent experience.\n\nWhether you work primarily with individual
 s or couples this comprehensive perspective on how relationships operate h
 as something for you. You also have the chance to join our growing communi
 ty of therapists with access to free information\, further training\, cons
 ultation\, and support.  All the therapists who have completed this train
 ing and gone on to intern with us now have FULL practices.  We are desper
 ate for people to refer to who have the necessary training and expertise!
   Don’t have any doubt that training like this is a good investment!\n\
 nThe training is organised in two blocks of two days in-person training in
  Auckland\, three months apart\, with an online day in the middle to revie
 w and consolidate your learning.   The first block (running on 13 &amp\;
  14 May 2024) focuses more on introducing the model and core skills while 
 the second block (26 &amp\; 27 August) is focused on the application of th
 e model to cases\, including common challenging presentations.  The onlin
 e review day is 17 June.  The review day is an opportunity to consolidate
  your learning from block one by exploring practical applications with rea
 l cases as well as asking any questions you might have.\n\nIn this trainin
 g you will learn:\n\n 	How to diagnose a couple’s developmental stage an
 d what interventions are appropriate for what stage\n 	How to use the diff
 erent lenses of Attachment\, Developmental Stage (Differentiation) and Neu
 roscience to broaden your assessment and intervention options.\n 	How to b
 alance communication skills with self-soothing techniques to manage reacti
 vity\n 	Specific interventions to help people manage conflict\, delay grat
 ification\, increase differentiation and build effective empathy\n 	How to
  identify and weaken entrenched blame and withdrawal pattern.\n 	Ways to i
 dentify and categorise the tough relationship issues\n 	How to stop rapid 
 escalation and shift to productive exchanges\n 	Ways to make strong confro
 ntations whilst retain rapport\n 	Techniques for engaging self-absorbed an
 d withdrawn partners\n 	Efficient ways to help clients process and grow fr
 om affairs and other betrayals\n\nThe training includes special sections o
 n working with\n\n 	The Hostile-Dependent Couple – partnerships trapped 
 in cycles of escalation and aggression\n 	The Conflict-Avoidant Couple –
  partnerships trapped in boredom\, frustration and unconscious acting out\
 n 	Couples with a Passive-Aggressive Partner and resolving intrapsychic im
 passes\n 	Couples with a Narcissistic Partner and creating empathy in self
 -involved individuals\n\nPeople who have completed this training are eligi
 ble to move into our  Developmental Model internship training.  This is
  an individually tailored programme of group and individual supervision an
 d specialist courses that leads to being able to advertise yourself as a D
